THE CUSTOMER JOURNEY

When you place an order with 1Wall for one of our framed artwork pieces, our team spring into action to create your handmade piece. We are not an ‘off the shelf’ retailer, which explains why we have a minimum turnaround of 5 – 7 working days. You might initially think that this is a long time to wait for your piece of artwork (especially in a world of everything being available next day!), but the best things come to those who wait. As soon as you place your order with 1Wall, you can trust that your piece of framed artwork will be hand-made and embellished to the very highest standards by our talented team.

Place Your Order Online
Once you’ve browsed the 1Wall website, selected your piece of artwork and chosen your frame (yay!), you’re ready to place your order. Your transaction will be securely processed by our payment gateway partner (Klarna) or PayPal.

Artwork Team Gets Your Order
After placing your order online, it is processed and passed on to our Artwork Team who are ready and raring to get started!

Frame Is Made
Firstly, the frame for your piece of artwork is made from scratch. Our team cut the frame to your desired size and underpin the corners to give it stability. We then affix brackets to the back of the frame (so that you can hang your artwork on the wall as soon as it arrives!) and cover it in protective wrap (a little bit like cling film!) to keep the frame safe during the rest of the manufacturing process. The frame is checked by a member of the framing team before being passed on to the next department.

Print Out Art
Your chosen piece of artwork is then printed out on our industrial strength printers. One of the team will make sure that the print is of the highest quality; think vibrant colours and needle-sharp definition. Your print will be thoroughly checked before moving on to the next step. (Some of our prints arrive directly from the artist e.g. our Sylvain Binet range.)

Fix Glass To Frame
The next step in the process is attaching the glass to your chosen frame; along with inserting your print. This is an intricate process and is carefully undertaken by our skilled team to ensure that your print is perfectly placed and secured.

Liquid Art Applied
Now for the exciting part! Most pieces of artwork are hand embellished with liquid art (and crystals in some cases) by our talented liquid artists. We believe this is what makes the artwork truly stunning! Plus, as we don’t use stencils or templates to create absolute carbon copies, your piece of artwork is truly unique and one of a kind!

Dry Under Lamps
Your piece of artwork is nearly finished, however, patience is needed at this stage! We give the artwork 24 – 48 hours under our drying lamps to ensure that the liquid art has solidified and is completely dry. This is probably the part of the process that takes the longest, but it’s so worth the wait!

One Final Check
Once your piece of artwork has been lovingly made, it goes through one final quality control inspection before it is packaged up in our bespoke boxes ready for dispatch.

Boxed And Ready
Your order is carefully packaged to keep the frame, glass and liquid art safe in transit. It is then dispatched on a next working day service with APC Couriers. (If you've provided a mobile telephone number with your order, you’ll receive a notification from the courier once your package has left our warehouse and is on its way to you.)
